“We will pay a State visit, postponed by the pandemict. It will be an excellent opportunity to expand our historic relations, the president tweeted.
The visit will be an opportunity to continue to strengthen bilateral relations between Cuba and Portugal, in the year of the 104th anniversary of bilateral relations.
Díaz-Canel added that he will participate later in the 3rd Celac-EU Summit, to be held in Brussels on July 17-18.
Cuba considers the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) as the region’s unitary voice, and will go to that meeting with a positive spirit and will help strengthen relations between both regional blocs, on the basis of equality and respect, the head of State said.
