In Madrid, Boric will be received by the president of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, and will hold a meeting with King Felipe VI. Boric will later travel to France where he will be received by President Emmanuel Macron.
The other major objective is his participation in the ECLAC-EU Summit on July 17th and 18th, when he will take the opportunity to meet with presidents and heads of state of Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean and other senior authorities.
According to the report of the Chilean presidency, President Boric will try to strengthen bi-regional dialogue, collaboration in the fields of environmental protection and non-polluting energy, and sustainable development.
Once in Switzerland, President Boric will seek the integration of Chile with the European Organization for Nuclear Development, the world’s largest particle physics laboratory. A meeting with the director general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, is also scheduled.
