Under the general direction of prima ballerina Viengsay Valdés, the company will take the stage of the Avellaneda Hall on July 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15 and 16 to perform, for the first time before a national audience, Bartók Concerto and Britten pas de deux, both by Stevenson. At the same time, they will reprise two titles that distinguish the company: Carmen, by Alberto Alonso; and Tarde en la siesta, by Alberto Méndez, which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its world premiere this year.

The program also includes End of time, by Ben Stevenson O.B.E; and Spartacus (Love Duo), by Azari Plisetsky, all of them featuring the company’s first figures, soloists and corps de ballet on its 75th anniversary.

Performances will start at 7:00 p.m., local time, from Thursday to Saturday; while on Sundays they will start at 5:00 hours.

The performance on July 13 will be dedicated to the television program La danza eterna (Eternal Dance), broadcast on Canal Educativo, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary on that day.
