Ukrainian shelling damages school in Russia’s Kursk region

bombardeo-escuela
Moscow, Jul 3 (Prensa Latina) A school was on Monday damaged after Ukrainian armed forces shelled the Russian locality of Troitskoye, in the Kursk region, informed the Governor of that area Roman Starovoit. The senior official on Monday wrote on his Telegram channel that the village of Troitskoye was fired at from the Ukrainian side, and the explosions shattered glass in a local school, although fortunately no injuries among the local population were reported.

Starovoit noted that repair work will begin once the possibility is available. This settlement is located about two kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

Since the Russian special military operation in eastern Ukraine began on February 24, 2022, several of the Russian border regions have been targeted by artillery attacks and armed incursions from the neighboring country.

These regions include Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Crimea, where an anti-terrorist alert regime prevails, and whose airports have been closed ever since.
