A show that will present a panorama of these popular traditions of the Mexican and Cuban cultures, will take place in the Santiago theater, where representatives of about 400 participants from some 20 countries will meet in this 42nd edition of the Fiesta del Fuego.
With the largest delegation of Mexicans, the festivity will also have significant presences from Martinique, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States, Spain, Germany, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Honduras and Bolivia, among other countries.
According to the Sierra Maestra newspaper, the Casa del Caribe International Award will go to those who work in the national health system, as a way of recognizing their contributions to Covid-19.
The program of the meeting is very broad, diverse and comprehensive, which is why the director of Casa del Caribe, Orlando Vergés, predicted that it will recover its splendor, dented to some extent by events of all kinds, economic, natural and political instability in some nations of the area.
