Cuba reports 13 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Havana, Jul 1 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) on Saturday reported 13 new Covid-19 cases and no deaths or seriously ill or critical patients as a consequence of the disease in the last 24 hours.

According to the closing report on June 30 at midnight, 125 patients were hospitalized, including 61 suspected patients and 64 active cases, all of whom are clinically stable.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, 14,374,226 Cubans have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Of the new cases, 12 were contacts of confirmed cases and the source of contagion was not identified in one case.

By age groups, 11 are under 20 years of age, and two are from 20 to 39 years.

To date, Cuba has reported 8,530 deaths, accounting for a lethality rate of 0.77 percent compared to 1.0 percent in the world and 1.53 in the Americas.
