Pérez told Prensa Latina that López Miera, who is also a hero of the Republic of Cuba and a member of the Communist Party of Cuba’s Political Bureau, met with his Belarusian counterpart, Viktor Jrenin, to address current international issues and bilateral relations.
As part of the agenda, which took place from June 29 to July 1, the Cuban delegation visited the Great Patriotic War Museum and the Khatyn Memorial Complex, and confirmed the Cuban people’s admiration for the heroic resistance of the Belarusian nation.
Lopez Miera highlighted the good state of relations between the two peoples and Governments, the level reached in relations between the top leaders of Cuba and Belarus, and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s role as leader of this country.
Lopez Miera arrived in Minsk from Russia, where he met with his Russian counterpart.
