The municipality, located on the northern coast of Camagüey, has the largest manufacturing infrastructure in the region, near a major bay for trade, which is the main reason why the work on the facility is transcendental to increase the productive capacity and the development of the market itself.

Radio Nuevitas’s website reported that the concreting process involves more than 1,600 cubic meters of concrete.

“Construction in the “26 de Julio” factory began in 2021, with a previous period for the dismantling of the 50-year-old equipment, which was replaced by a more efficient technology.

“The completion of the current investment is expected for mid 2025 to guarantee the demand from Ciego de Avila’s cement market to Holguin,” the publication highlighted.
