Press media quoted the Public Prosecutor’s Office in its Monday edition, which confirmed the success of the action undertaken this weekend in conjunction with agents of the National Civil Police and the Drug Control Management in that locality, in the north of the country, one of the most populated areas.

The Attorney General’s Office referred earlier this month to the effectiveness of teamwork to curb micro-trafficking, in some well-identified areas.

The actions were concentrated in the neighborhoods of Los Ciruelitos, La Ciénaga, Cien Fuegos, Hoya del Caimito, Hoyo de Bartola, Hato Mayor, Don Pedro, El Embrujo, Los Jardines, Satélite, La Gloria, Barrio Nuevo and Los Solares, among others, where 27 searches were carried out and 47 people were arrested.

According to official sources, cocaine, marijuana and crack, three scales, two boxes of nine millimeter caliber ammunition, several communication radios and money were seized.
