“Strengthening relations of solidarity, reciprocity and complementarity between our peoples, we send 65 tons of food to the sister Republic of #Cuba, affected by torrential rains, floods and the effects of the criminal blockade against the Cuban people,” the president wrote.
The Cuban ambassador in Bolivia, Danilo Sánchez, thanked the Bolivian Government for the gesture.
Sánchez stated that the action reciprocates the solidarity that the Cuban authorities and the people have always maintained towards Bolivia.
He informed that the flight carrying a load mainly of food will depart from the Viru Viru airport, in Santa Cruz, this Saturday at dawn and will arrive in Cuba in the morning.
A government representation headed by the Vice Minister of Civil Defense, Juan Carlos Calvimonte, officials from the Ministry of Government and the Foreign Ministry will travel on that flight.
The donation will be received by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba.
