Damascus, Jun 23 (Prensa Latina) More than 30 artists and craftswomen are exhibiting their creations on Palestinian heritage and culture on Friday, as part of an exhibition organized in this capital under the slogan "from generation to generation."

The exhibition, which will last two days, is organized by the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists, the Popular Heritage Association and the Syrian “Homeland Document” Foundation.

Syrian and Palestinian female creators presented handmade and artistic pieces that reflect Palestine’s heritage, including embroidery, traditional textiles, wood carved figures, glass paintings and recycled fabrics.

Speaking to reporters at the opening, the Syrian President’s advisor, Bouzeina Shaaban, described the exhibition as important, considering that the war in the world today is to confirm existence and identity through culture.

The exhibition demonstrates the existence of a great Palestinian civilization and history, and reflects the originality of this people and their cultural heritage and creativity, the senior official said.

The member of the General Secretariat of the General Union of Palestinian Writers, Abdel Fattah Idris, in turn, noted the importance of the exhibition to present the Palestinian heritage, which is characterized by its diversity and richness.
