The screening of the 2004 film is part of a tribute on the 95th birthday of the Argentine-Cuban guerrilla fighter, organized by the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC).
The film, with a script of the director himself, music by Edesio Alejandro and Ernesto Cisneros, and produced by ICAIC, Gran Vía Musical, and Impulso Records, tell the story, through archival images, of the intense life of the heroic guerrilla fighter, as Ernesto Guevara de la Serna is also known.
Che was assassinated in Bolivia on October 9, 1967, aged 39, in his last guerrilla attempt to carry on the struggle for a more just world.
The documentary is a synthesis of unpublished images that bring the viewer closer to this exceptional man, who transcended his generation and is a reference of capacity for sacrifice, courage, and tenderness.
