Wang Wenbin, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noted that China never acted in a dangerous manner, that its actions were based on international law and that it respected freedom of navigation.

Wenbin defined the operations as ‘completely justified, lawful, safe and professional,’ called for Washington to stop causing a lot of problems in the area, and reiterated Beijing’s determination to protect national sovereignty.
