Russian Security Council draws up measures against sanctions

Putin
Moscow, Jun 3 (Prensa Latina) The Russian Security Council is drawing up measures to block the West's attempts to cause an economic crisis in the country, the press service of the State body reported on Saturday.

According to the press release, which Sputnik quoted on Saturday, Russian authorities are focusing on developing measures to block any efforts by Western countries to provoke an economic crisis in Russia.

At a meeting with the permanent members of the body on Friday, Security Council Chairman and President Vladimir Putin stressed the need to do everything possible to prevent attempts at destabilizing the internal situation.

Many countries have condemned Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, and support Kiev with arms supplies, donations, humanitarian aid, and sanctions against Moscow.

According to the Castellum.AI dashboard, Russia has been the country most punished by sanctions, ahead of Iran, Syria, North Korea, Belarus, and Venezuela. More than 13,260 new restrictive measures have been activated against Russia since February 2022, in addition to nearly 2,700 actions that were already in force.
