According to the program to which Prensa Latina had access, the internationalist doctor will be received at the Syrian Presidency and will attend an event organized by the Cuban Embassy in Damascus, to which supporters of Cuba and representatives of the Palestinian forces based in Syria will be present.
On Monday, Guevara March was bestowed with the Ambassador for the Palestinian cause distinction at an event organized in Lebanon, along with other prominent figures from Bahrain, Spain, South Africa, Tunisia, India, Algeria, and the host country.
This is Aleida’s second visit to Damascus, following one she did in 2006 at the invitation of the Ministry of Information when she met with authorities and participated in a series of mass activities to pay tribute to Argentine-Cuban commander Ernesto Che Guevara.
