Cuban hero visits Fidel Castro monument in Moscow

Moscow, May 31 (Prensa Latina) Cuban hero Gerardo Hernandez on Wednesday laid a wreath at the monument dedicated to the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, in Moscow, as part of his agenda in Russia.

Hernandez, who is paying a four-day visit to Moscow at the invitation of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, arrived here after a tour of friendly Asian countries, Prensa Latina reported.

During his stay in Moscow, Hernandez, who is also the national coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), the largest mass organization in Cuba, will meet with friends and Cubans who work and reside in Russia.

The Cuban hero will meet with the directors of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly, and the Diplomatic Academy, and will visit places of interest and historic sites of the Russian capital.
