Lawmakers will review the 34th version of the law for its approval, which the parliamentarians studied and discussed a few days ago.
The regulation has been in preparation for about six years. In this period, hundreds of people, including specialists, participated, and as a result the version was firmly improved, according to lawmaker José Luis Toledo.
Updating the country’s economic situation, analyzing and approving the legislative plan for the current legislature, establishing the permanent working commissions, and the parliamentary friendship groups are also on the list of the parliamentarians.
During a meeting with legislators on Wednesday, Parliament President Esteban Lazo defined some of the lines of work for this stage, among them, the enhancement of control and assessment mechanisms for the approved laws and action plans.
Lazo emphasized that the current composition of the Parliament must achieve greater transparency in accountability meetings, the presentation of budgets, and more intentional work in preparing leaders.
