According to a communiqué issued on the site of Russia’s Security Council, Patrushev spoke with his counterparts, who arrived in Russia to participate in the 11th International Meeting of High-Level Representatives who oversee security issues.
The press release assured that the Russian official met up with some officials as, Cuba’s and Venezuela’s Interior Ministers, Lazaro Alberto Alvarez and Jose Ornela, respectively; the Republic of Congo’s Director of Intelligence, Philippe Obara; and the heads of Security of Namibia and Benin, Benedict Likando and Soumaila Allabi, respectively.
According to the Security Council documents, the talks with Cuba’s Interior Minister focused on the problems of regional stability, while with Ornela they dealt with cooperation between Russian and Venezuelan law enforcement agencies.
At all the encounters held, Patrushev confirmed Moscow’s willingness to intensify cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of friendly countries.
