Morales told the press that the PCC must not be unaware of any issue of the national reality, and it is its mission to watch over the domestic life of society, and to improve it.

The secretary stressed as essential to continue strengthening the ideological work and to raise awareness that just by the collective effort Cuba will be able to develop, despite the US blockade.

He also insisted on the need to work on the formation of values, to continue strengthening the work with youngsters as well as highlighting the role played by the mass organizations.

Regarding the visits of the highest national authorities to several provinces, he expressed that “good experiences have been appreciated which unfortunately are not the generality yet.”

Morales pointed out that the meetings have addressed the population’s dissatisfactions in areas such as the housing situation, food, transportation and the quality of services.

The leader noted that the purpose of the encounters has gone beyond assessing a specific period, but is seeking to draw up long-term plans, based on what the territories can achieve in 2023.
