Marquez was received by Monique Nsanzabaganwa, deputy chairwoman of the AU Commission, and other high-level officials, Josefa Sacko, AU Commissioner for Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy, and Sustainable Environment, stated on Twitter.

Marquez arrived in Ethiopia Wednesday on an official visit, her last tour of the continent that also took her to South Africa and Kenya. She was received by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Thursday morning.
