Some thirty international participants will be attending the event and will be able to share experiences in the modernization of customs systems.
The General Director of Customs of the Dominican Republic, Eduardo Sanz, assured that the event will promote public-private partnerships, strengthen the transport of goods and strengthen relations between the attendee nations.
In addition to the directors of Customs from Latin America, Spain and Portugal, the event will be represented by a commission of private businessmen, who will analyze global trends and share experiences in the matter.
The delegates will discuss customs procedures, the increasing competitiveness of these bodies and the renewal of customs and logistics technological systems.
According to the organizing committee, three events will be developed: the meeting of directors for the Multilateral Agreement on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the national Customs departments of Latin America, Spain and Portugal, which will take place on Monday and Tuesday; the 3rd Customs Joint Forum: Regional Group of the Private Sector will be held on Wednesday the 17th, and after, the 25th Regional Conference of General Customs Directors (CRDGA 2023) will be held on Thursday.
