In the final declaration of the ACS 9th Summit of Heads of State and Government, official delegations strongly rejected the unilateral coercive measures, contrary to International Law, while condemning the tightening of the hostile U.S. blockade amid the severe Covid-19 pandemic.
The text welcomed the holding in Havana, on September 15 and 16, of a G-77 Summit of Heads of State and/or Government on challenges of development entitled ¨The Role of Science, Technology and Innovation¨.
The meeting is aimed at fostering cooperation projects for the benefit of developing nations, including ACS Members.
It was also praised efforts made by Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Chile and Mexico to produce vaccine doses against Covid-19 and to seek approval by the World Health Organization (WHO).
