During a rally in Istanbul, the president claimed that Kiliçdaroglu “should be ashamed” of these accusations against Moscow, while the Kremlin ruled out any interference.
“Aren’t you ashamed?; You should be ashamed; what would you say if we said the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany are organizing the elections? Erdogan questioned.
At the rally, one of the last before Sunday’s vote, Erdogan also considered such denunciations as regrettable and assured that the opposition is trying to use the same political method afresh.
While the presidential term in Türkiye is only for two five-year terms, Erdogan, who has been in office since 2014, is running for a third consecutive term thanks to the approval of constitutional amendments in 2017.
