At the meeting, the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) shared details of Cuba’s reality and the impact of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by Washington for more than six decades.
Regarding the blockade, he acknowledged the initiative launched by the CPF against this policy in its 39th Congress, a forum that ratified Roussel in office last month.
The French communists announced actions in the coming months at the local and European level to reject the blockade and its extraterritorial scope, in coordination with solidarity associations, unions and other political forces.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed the ties between both parties and their strengthening.
