In statements to Prensa Latina, Carricarte reiterated his interest in continuing the work developed with Italy, which attended the Havana International Fair, FIHAV 2022, held from November 14-18, 2022.
Carricarte will participate in the 9th Session of the Cuba-Italy Entrepreneurial Committee (CICI) in the northern city of Venice on May 8, which “will facilitate exchanges between both countries’ enterprises and analyze problems.”
The Cuban delegation will also include Ambassador to Italy Mirtha Granda, Deputy Tourism Minister Adalberto Venero, and entrepreneurs.
“We expect to define concrete projects during the event, especially in agricultural, renewable energy, and information and communication technology sectors,” Carricarte pointed out.
During a meeting at the Cuban Embassy in Rome on Friday, the official said that the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba seeks to “accompany those processes to advance and contribute to expanding the economic and commercial relations between the two nations.”
“My country’s leadership has repeatedly stated that foreign investment is essential for Cuba at this time, as well as export promotion,” he added.
Carricarte pointed out that in order to achieve these strategic objectives, “support from the missions abroad is essential, and it aims to attract entrepreneurs and companies globally.
