The meeting took place in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and was inaugurated by Li Shuelei, member of the Political Bureau and head of the Publicity department of the CPC Central Committee, and Roberto Morales, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC.
Li Shuelei spoke of the actions taken within the CPC to fortify leadership, unity among its members, implement China’s development plans with the greatest benefit for the people, and fight corruption.
Li considered that the seminar can generate new contributions to the construction of socialism with its own characteristics. It aslo demonstrates the common focus of the two parties and also the special friendship of the countries.
Morales, in turn, stated that the leading role of both political forces constitutes the essential component in bilateral relations and must contribute decisively to the implementation of the consensus reached by their top leaders.
He expressed confidence that the issues discussed at the seminar should contribute to the deepening of mutual knowledge and the strengthening of the socialist cause in Cuba and China.
These events constitute important mechanisms for exchanging experiences in the process of building socialism in Cuba and China.
