“Our main task is to contribute to solve the country’s defense capacity problems. The load has increased several times over in recent months, we are dealing with it,” Likhachev said.

He stated that the RosAtom nuclear weapons complex bears the responsibility for maintaining the efficiency and modernization of the nuclear warheads.

“We have productions without analogues in the world, we are also focused on the manufacturing of non-nuclear weapons, which are part of the missions entrusted to us by President Vladimir Putin,” he said.

On December 1st, 2007, Putin signed the law for Rosatom with the necessary assets for the formation of a complete nuclear power cycle.

A total of 350 grouped companies and almost 300 thousand employees work in the combination of uranium extraction and construction and maintenance of nuclear power plants.
