According to Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, during the meeting they discussed top-priority projects underway and prospects for Russia’s effective involvement in Cuba’s Economic and Social Development Plan through 2030.

Lavrov was received earlier by Bruno Rodríguez who thanked him for his country’s strong solidarity during the confrontation of the Covid-19 pandemic, with food and medical supply donations.

Back in that meeting, Rodriguez expressed Cuba’s deep gratitude for Russia’s nonstop stance in condemning the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba and calling for Cuba´s withdraw from the spurious list of states sponsoring terrorism.
