“There is some progress; we are working on drafting the program. We will announce the details soon,” Peskov said.
A day earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to participate in the 26th edition of SPIEF starting June 14 to 17.
The invitation was conveyed in a letter to President Lula by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who visited that country during his tour of that region.
SPIEF has been held annually since 1997. Since 2005, it has been held under the auspices of the Russian Presidency.
SPIEF 2022 welcomed 14,000 people from 130 countries, including heads of state and government, senior executives of leading corporations, and world-renowned experts.
