The proposal is part of the celebrations of the Month of Europe in Cuba in which the Spanish diplomatic representation proposes a review of anthological pieces by Garcia Lorca, as well as workshops, staging, and film screenings.

The program will open with the critical reading workshop “Sin pelos en la lengua” (Without craps on the tongue) by Elaine Vila. At the same time, a documentary about the poet’s passage through Cuba will be screened, the organizers announced at a press briefing.

Writer and poet Alexis Díaz Pimienta will present García Lorca’s legacy with the screening of the comic strip “Lorca. En Cuba, mucho Lorca” At the same time, the play “La Casa de Bernarda Alba” (The House of Bernarda Alba) will be on stage.

Following the footsteps of the Andalusian poet and playwriter), Cuba will host a new tourist-literary route.

This event, directed by journalist Xavier Rosell, will be held in Havana, Pinar del Rio, Cienfuegos, Villa Clara, and Matanzas provinces from August 2 to 12.
