The Pakistani prime minister expressed his satisfaction with the recent reactivation of diplomatic relations between Tehran and Riyadh, and welcomed Iran’s efforts to forge regional peace and stability.

He also emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Iran in all areas of mutual interests, especially trade, energy cooperation, security and regional stability, the source certified.

Sharif also expressed his gratitude for the commissioning of the power transmission line from Polan, Iran to Gwadar, Pakistan, and his appreciation for the cooperation of the Iranian government in this regard.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan also stressed the need to increase popular communication, including cultural and educational exchanges, so as to promote understanding and cooperation between the two nations.

Both parties emphasized their commitment to maintain close contact.
