Explaining to students from different schools in Russia what it means for the government and people of the Caribbean nation to be subjected to that hostile policy for more than six decades, is the main objective of the veterans of the Bryansk region, as Prensa Latina has learnt from their representatives.
Najaf Dashdi, a member of this public organization, explained to the students of the MBOU N11 high school in the city of Derbent, in the Republic of Dagestan, the political situation experienced by, what he called, the Island of Freedom.
He also told those present at the meeting about the support provided by the former Soviet Union in strengthening the defensive capacity of the Cuban Armed Forces between 1960 and 1990.
Events of this nature are held monthly in Russian regions by different groups in solidarity with the Cuban people, who do not hesitate to transmit to the new generations the bonds of brotherhood between Havana and Moscow.
On this occasion, the actions of condemning the blockade took place in the Republic of Karelia, in northeastern Russia.
