The event agreed for April 14 will be an opportunity to enjoy the melodies of the so-called “old continent”, in emblematic spaces of the historic center of the capital city, such as the Plaza de la Catedral, de Armas, San Francisco and Vieja.
According to the organizers of this month dedicated to the various expressions of European culture, these outdoor stages will feature performances by students from the city’s Amadeo Roldán Conservatory.
“Listening to the notes of European composers such as Maurice Ravel, Henry Purcell, Johann Sebastian Bach and Arie Malando will make a walk through the streets of the Havana capital more pleasant,” says the program of the event.
The music of the countries that make up the European Union also had its space, the day before, in the concert Cántigas de amor by Fon Denis, King of Portugal (1279-1325), by the Ensemble Lauda, directed by Henry Vidal.
Likewise, the event’s agenda includes recitals by the Baltasar Neuman Ensemble, They Sing to María Callas, with the presence of fifteen lyrical performers, and Divertimentos, dedicated to jazz and the most recognized soundtracks of European cinema.
