Embajadora-Beatriz-Parra-Pres-Gitanas-Nauseda-500x313
Vilnius, Apr 6 (Prensa Latina) As part of Cuba's foreign policy based on friendship, cooperation and solidarity, Ambassador Beatriz Parra expressed to Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda her country's interest in strengthening bilateral relations.

The head of Cuba’s diplomatic mission here met with the Lithuanian dignitary after presenting her credentials on Wednesday accrediting her as concurrent ambassador to this Central European country.

During the friendly meeting, Nauseda acknowledged Cuba’s achievements in education and sports, areas in which both nations can collaborate.

The Cuban diplomat told Prensa Latina that she was received later at the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters, the Parliament and the Ministry of Health, where she exchanged viewpoints on bilateral issues, the complex international situation, particularly about the hostile blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.

She took advantage of the meetings to thank the Lithuanian Government for its support for Cuba’s resolutions at the United Nations General Assembly, approved with the almost unanimous support of the international community, in order to demand an end to Washington’s economic, commercial and financial war.

Parra is Cuba’s ambassador to Finland with headquarters in Helsinki, and she is also the concurrent ambassador to Latvia, Estonia and now Lithuania, the three Baltic countries par excellence.
