During a meeting in that territory, Prada and García discussed the latter’s participation in the V International Conference for the Balance of the World, recently held in Havana.
They also discussed the ties with the Cuban Ministry of Health and the Business Group of the Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Industries of that country.
The day before, the ambassador was received by the governor of Santa Cruz, Alicia Kirchner, as part of a program of activities framed in the 50th anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between both nations.
During the meeting, Prada presented Kirchner with recognition for his work as a member of the World Council of the José Martí International Solidarity Project, dependent on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Kirchner expressed her gratitude and highlighted the “imperative need to promote solidarity, respect for the full dignity of man and the commitment to build a world with everyone.”
The diplomat also participated in the Conversatory Our America from Marti’s perspective. An updated debate, held at the Río Gallegos Regional Faculty of the National Technological University.
