Over 300 specialized fridges for storing and preserving vaccines, thermos flasks for vaccine transfer, temperature monitors, freezers and freezing indicators, among others, are among the Canadian batch certified by the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO).
The PAHO/WHO Representative José Moya explained the donation helps to enhance Public Health Ministry´s cold chain network, which continues to hold a strong domestic immunization program.
Cuba’s Immunization Program Chief Lena López detailed the new medical supply will also allow for better storage capacity and compliance with preservation standards by guaranteeing greater quality and control for the vaccine cold chain process.
