Bin Salman received the president last night at the city’s airport and then held a meeting with him, in which they discussed issues to improve joint cooperation in all fields, the ruler’s spokesman, Ahmed Fahmy, reported in a statement.
Regional and international subjects were also discussed during the talks, the Egyptian spokesman said.
According to the Saudi General Authority for Statistics, trade between the two countries amounted to $14.5 billion dollars in 2021, an 88% year-on-year rise.
The kingdom is the second largest investor in Egypt in areas such as industry, construction, tourism, agriculture, services, finance and communications.
