Santo Domingo, Mar 24 (Prensa Latina) Cuban residents and Dominicans today rejected the campaigns against several countries that counterrevolutionary organizations are carrying out within the framework of the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government.

Through a statement, the Máximo Gómez Association of Cubans in the Dominican Republic, after welcoming the celebration of the Summit in this capital, rejected the presence in this territory of representatives of the so-called Assembly of the Cuban Resistance. He expressed his disagreement that they were received by the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco, to whom they requested his intervention on issues which, undoubtedly, correspond to Cuba and Cubans to analyze and solve, not otherwise.

“We reject that provocateurs, with a history of terrorism and capable of demanding a military intervention in Cuba, from the comfort of their position as mercenaries of the Government that for more than 60 years has subjected the Cuban people to countless pressures and limitations, use this meeting as a platform to promote his interventionist discourse,” he added.

Likewise, the communiqué stated: “if Cubans residing in this nation value something, it is the friendship and permanent solidarity of the Dominican Government with the Cuban land. And if this Summit should be advocated for something, it is, as has been written these days, for the commitment to multilateralism and for an increasingly just and inclusive community”.

On the other hand, solidarity Dominican organizations also expressed themselves on the subject and issued a declaration, in which they called on the 22 countries present at the Summit to discuss among brothers, in a spirit of collaboration and solidarity, respecting ideological diversity, and the conditions of each town.

“We hope that Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Mexico, Brazil, Honduras and Colombia can continue to develop, without imperial economic blockades, with respect for their internal laws, in coordination with their citizens and without foreign impositions,” the text specified. .

They also raised their protest to the Dominican Government for allowing political sectors committed to international terrorism to come to this nation to threaten the tranquility of a Summit, which seeks collaboration.

They also expressed the wish that the great meeting be aware of these actions and approve a Resolution condemning those groups that are enemies of coexistence between countries, and making amends to worthy visitors from sister countries.

In recent days, well-known representatives of the aforementioned organizations have made a presence in the country to use various platforms in order to attack and insult countries such as Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Bolivia, among others, in these days of Ibero-American meetings.
