The package is made up of high-mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS) and howitzers, as well as for Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, high-velocity anti-radiation missiles, anti-tank weapons and riverine vessels, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement.

In his statement, Blinken reiterated his country will stand with Ukraine “as long as it takes.” Separately, the Defense Department (DOD) also reported that Washington’s new backing for Kyiv grenade launchers, heavy fuel tankers, mine-clearing equipment, mortar systems and rounds, and additional artillery.

Last week Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, projected a sense of urgency about sending military aid to Ukraine which is evidence of the ever-increasing U.S. involvement in the conflict.

Russia, on the other hand, reiterated that the U.S.-led alliance shows its hostility toward Moscow every single day and is increasingly getting involved in the Ukraine conflict.
