The executive president of Nicaragua’s National Port Authority, Virgilio Silva, described Israel’s actions against the Palestinians, who have been fighting with dignity for more than 70 years for the sovereignty of their lands, as unjust.
During a gastronomic fair at the Puerto Salvador Allende in Managua to commemorate Palestinian Culture and Land Day, Silva said that the Arab country loves life and peace.
“Those in solidarity with Palestine as Nicaragua recall and continue to support that people who have long struggled,” the official stressed.
Mohammad Shafei, Charge d’Affaires at the Palestine Embassy in Nicaragua, referred to the friendly relationship with Nicaragua, which are unbreakable and stronger than ever.
Shafei alluded to Palestine Land Day to be commemorated on March 30 and recalled the actions by the Israeli occupiers who passed a law to confiscate 2,100 hectares of Palestinian properties, which caused “a confrontation in which martyrs sacrificed their lives.”
