The spokesman for the international command in the south of the country, Andrea Tinetti, stated that UNIFIL did not notice any violation of the Blue Line, a border point established between Lebanon and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The statement was made due to reports of Lebanese infiltration into Israel. Tinetti, noted that the peacekeepers have not reported a crossing of the land border in recent days.
Israeli media revealed on Wednesday, that Tel Aviv suspects the Lebanese Hezbollah movement to be behind a security incident earlier this week in northern occupied Palestine when a citizen crossed the border and detonated an explosive device.
Israel security informed that the initial investigation showed an armed element apparently crossing into Lebanese territory, the Al-Mayadeen pan-Arab channel reported.
Ali Shoeib, correspondent for the Al-Manar local television station, reported on Twitter that Israel continues to build on the border, protected by Merkava tanks and armored vehicles, in preparation for the construction of a cement separation wall.
