Russia and Africa to strengthen parliamentary ties

Moscow, Mar 13 (Prensa Latina) The Russian State Duma (Lower House of Parliament) announced Monday that the 2nd Russia-Africa International Parliamentary Conference would run in Moscow from March 19th to the 20th.

The Conference’s program includes rounds of talks on exchanges in science and education, a legislative response to the economic challenges, security, and experiences of Western neo-colonialism.

More than 40 official delegations from most African countries and leading experts will attend the event to discuss with their Russian colleagues the current issues of the international parliamentary agenda.

A business breakfast will stage on March 19, and parliamentary delegations of African states and Russian business representatives will participate.

A plenary session will be held on March 20 to announce the agreements of the International Parliamentary Conference entitled “Russia-Africa in a multipolar world.”

According to the official website of the Russian State Duma, the Conference will be held just a few months before the 2nd Russia-Africa Summit, which will be in St. Petersburg in July 2023.

The first Russia-Africa Conference took place in 2019.
