Leon, who is attending the ceremonies on the 54th anniversary of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (FDLP), acknowledged the historic struggle of the movement for the inalienable rights of his people.
Cuba’s charge d’affaires conveyed condolences to the families and friends of the fallen martyrs for defending their land and decisively confronting Israel’s criminal practices.
On the occasion, Leon thanked Palestinian for their solidarity with Cuba in the fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for more than six decades.
At the same time, the head of the Cuban Embassy expressed support for the resistance of the Palestinian fighters and the unrestricted support of the Cuban people for self-determination and the enjoyment of an independent State.
At the event, chaired by FDPL representative in Lebanon Ali Faisal, the Minister of Culture in the interim government, Mohammad Mortada, Palestinian Ambassador Ashraf Dabour, and his Venezuelan counterparts, Jesus Gregorio Gonzalez, and Russian Ambassador Alexander Rudakov were also present.
Diplomats from Egypt, Tunisia and Iraq also attended the event, as well as lawmakers and representatives of parties and political forces from Lebanon and Palestine.
