South African president to unveil cabinet reshuffle

Pretoria, Mar 6 (Prensa Latina) South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will announce Monday his new cabinet after reshuffle.

Changing some members is expected as a logical step ahead of the 55th Conference of the African National Congress (ANC) was held in December 2022.

Most of current ministers were not elected back then so as to be part of the ANC´s National Executive Committee.

According to ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula, ANC prefers to align its political leaders with government positions.

Local analysts stated that the new ANC Deputy President Paul Mashatile is probably to be announced the country’s deputy president on Monday.
