The meeting proposed by the Mexican head of State would address the fight against inflation and mutual collaboration by videoconference on April 5.
On command, dear @lopezobrador. We need to articulate efforts. We owe it to our peoples and to our history. Our America can count on #Cuba, Diaz-Canel wrote on Twitter.
On Thursday, Lopez Obrador announced the initiative to promote an anti-inflation plan with several Latin American nations, with the purpose of promoting trade and collaboration, and combating the increase in prices of food and other goods.
According to the Mexican president, the intergovernmental strategy will involve producers, distributors, merchants, importers, sellers, and buyers.
This has to do with food, obtaining prices, removing tariffs, barriers that prevent food from being obtained at a good price for the countries’ internal markets, he explained.
The proposal provides for a subsequent face-to-face meeting.
