The agenda of Lasso’s stay in Costa Rica, distributed by the Presidential House, only speaks of the activities that he will carry out, and even states that the press conference of both leaders at the Rafael Ángel Calderón Guardia Museum is yet to be confirmed.
The Presidential House reports that after the signing of the Trade Association Agreement there will be a press conference with the Ministers of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica, Manuel Tovar, and of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries of Ecuador, Julio José Prado.
Lasso is arriving in Costa Rica during which popular Ecuadorian sectors are protesting and insisting that he should resign as president, due to alleged corruption scandals in public companies and alleged links with drug trafficking and the Albanian mafia.
Costa Rica and Ecuador established diplomatic relations back in 1852.
