Cairo, Feb 23 (Prensa Latina) Palestine announced that it requested an urgent meeting of the Arab League so as to address the recent Israeli attacks in the occupied territories, including the massacre in the city of Nablus where 11 people lost their lives.

The Palestinian ambassador in Egypt and before the pan-Arab organization, Diab Al-Louh, pointed out that the objective of the meeting is to discuss a regional and international response to the increasing violence from Tel Aviv.

“The urgent meeting will also discuss our request to provide international protection to the Palestinian people against Israel”, the official said in a statement in which he considered that the magnitude in attacks by Israel’s “right-wing terrorist” government requires swift action to prevent them from continuing.

12 Palestinians died on Wednesday as a consequence of the Israeli army aggression, 11 of them in Nablus, in the north of the West Bank.

According to the Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the year, Israeli soldiers and settlers have killed 63 Palestinians, including 13 children and four elderly people, the highest number since the year 2000.
