In a note on Facebook, they explain that the event is associated with a fault in the 220 kV Matanzas-Santa Clara and Matanzas-Cienfuegos lines.
Specialists from the sector began the restoration process and the causes of the failure are being investigated, which will be reported to the population in a timely manner.
So far this month, it is the third time that the Caribbean nation has suffered a collapse of this nature, after the incidents of February 13 and 18.
On the first date, the failure was registered in the 220 kilowatt network between the towns of Sancti Spíritus and Nuevitas, which caused the disconnection of the Electric System in the Central-Eastern zone.
Meanwhile, last Saturday a human error in the operation left the 220 KV station in Matanzas without power, which cut off the electricity supply from that province to Guantánamo (east).
