The World Food Program (WFP) specified that in January it provided assistance to 12 million Yemenis who suffer from inadequate food consumption, an issue that has increased slightly in Yemen in December, after declining for three consecutive months, the institution stated.
In December, 49 percent of the country’s households reported inadequate food consumption, with rates at critically high levels in 17 of 22 provinces. The WFP also noted that the 2023 Humanitarian Response Plan requires over 4 billion dollars in funding to help 17.3 million people.
