The Federation of Women’s Organizations for Equal Human Rights condemned that Gheskio’s employees for some time now have been victims of kidnapping.
The platform warned that Gheskio Center’s closure puts hundreds of thousands of people living with HIV at risk, and reminded Haitian government that restoring national security was major motivation for reaching a political agreement.
So far this year, over a hundred people have been deprived of liberty in Haiti as a result of the rise in violence by gangs operating mainly in the capital.
